After a
5-year hiatus from art, in 1996, C.C. discovered that she had a broken neck
from birth and underwent surgery. It was during this time that with the help
of a fellow artist David Gulotta she started painting again. In 1998,
C.C. underwent surgery again as the first one failed and with the help of the
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation she became a student at du
Cret School of the Arts in Plainfield, NJ where she learned new techniques
and media. Upon graduation with a 3.86 GPA, C.C. moved to Pensacola, Florida
in 2002.
C.C. is
an artist-in-residence at the Belmont Art and Cultural Center where she
teaches classes in stained glass. C.C. was co-owner of IMAGO Fine Arts
Gallery, Pensacola, FL during its inception in 2004. C.C. has works in
galleries in NJ, Florida and Colorado, as well as many pieces in private
collections throughout the United States and Australia.
