It was a day, like most days on the beach, feeling the gentle breezes from the Gulf of Mexico. Listening to the sounds of the days catch being boasted, then to the aroma of fresh catch of fine dining being prepared at Zeke's Landing. It was on this day, while overlooking the Marina on Cotton Bayou and watching the sun set on a glorious April evening, that a group of men planned what was to become the Mystic's of Pleasure.  Pleasure Islands very first night time Mardi Gras parading society.

This was the first Mardi Gras Krewe on the Gulf Coast to both Parade and have a formal Mardi Gras Ball its first year of inception.

It's second years voyage was on the Friday night before Fat Tuesday, their floats courtesy of Trail Marine. The Marshal's dressed in elegant costumes with the roar of Harley Davidson's beneath them, sounding so similar to the thunder of cannon's being fired from Fort Morgan again.

This krewe was very busy from the start, with their very first event, The "Fall Fun Run'' which had over 80 boats from all over the Gulf Coast.  The roar of unfettered horse power echoing along the Intercoastal waterway.  While power mongers such as Fountains, Velocity, Doral and Scarab's made their thundering parade to Fort Morgan and Mobile Bay, other boats came from all docks of life on the water. The event Started with a good will donation, a ice machine to the Alabama Marine Police and Orange Beach Fire & Rescue. The brave new Krewe handed out over $20,000.00 in cash, donations and prizes, capped by a $5,000.00 drawing for Fun Run participants at its ending party at Tacky Jack in Orange Beach. The event has grown bigger & better.

But the krewe didn't stop with that one event. The Hawaiian Luau, Golf Tournament and Queen's Reception were just the beginning. A Mobile/New Orleans style Mardi Gras parade awaiting its third year of mystical merriment. The parade will be lead by its Queen and Past Queens, then comes over 200 maskers, Marching bands, Float bands who will ride and continue a new tradition of revelry down the Beach Highway, known as the Perdido Beach Blvd. From Zeke's Landing to Live Bait, then ending at AM South Bank. The maskers enduring matt! "Let the Good Times Roll" while throwing their treasures to visitors from all over, giving us the opportunity to showcase "God Bless America, Our Southern Heritages", the theme. With more than 1,000,000 Beads, 100,000 coins, 50,000 cups and much, much more.

If you are fortunate enough to receive a set of Ball Invitations, you will be treated to succulent treasures from both land and sea. A joyous feast along with nationally known entertainment.  The dress for Ball is the Mardi Gras style (Costume de Riqueur), White Tie and Black Tails for the men, Formals, floor length only for the Ladies.
